The importance of GPA (Oh, you know you want to click)

Hey:)
So, i just finished my first semester at a top-20 university & ended up with a 3.75 GPA. My high school unweighted gpa was a 3.5. I did go to a very tough high school and i took 9 ap courses, so i'm wondering how my college gpa will be looked at in relation to my high school. also, my sat score was 2030. i did ED to the school i'm at (bad mistake, lol). i am looking at the following schools, but i really want to limit my options to 3, maybe 4. i also need some matches or safeties. i looked into boston college.. could this be a good match?

UPenn
UChicago
Northwestern

this is for fall 2010.

i need a LOT of finaid.
thanks guys:)

3.75 is a good college gpa! I can’t believe how many people on this board think anything lower than a 4.0 is bad, college isn’t the same as hs. Anyway, sorry, side tracked. :P

Financial aid is very difficult to get as a transfer, much harder to get than when applying out of high school. I honestly have yet to hear of merit scholarships for transfers and need aid for transfers is extremely limited.

thanks nyc2013
i guess i’ll have to try my luck /:
