The importance of taking a college class

On the commonapp, they ask you if you took any classes at a college, and I was just wondering if this was an important factor in college admissions. Does it matter what class you take, as long as it’s a “core” class like Calc 3 or Orgo? Also, does the college itself matter? For example, would going to a pretty good university be looked at differently than a community college? If there’s already a thread on these matters, I would be happy with a directed link to the thread or threads (I couldn’t really find anything…)

I don't think the name of the college matters at all--what counts is the level, how much effort/time it required, etc. I don't think it's important to take a class at a college, but it can help increase your chances. I didn't take any classes at a college because it was basically pointless because I was already taking a lot of AP classes.
