Where do you get those stats from?

kaira, where’d you get that from?

A friend of mine knows the sardar patel girl and the modernite. A 2014 indian harvard student on CC told me about the rest.

yeah, we don’t usually get good admissions at columbia. the fact is, the best students from our school always ask for fin aid. And Columbia has a strict policy with regard to aid to internationals. So, that explains it I guess. But we did have a girl attending Columbia 2 years back.

BTW, is your counselor’s name Arjun? and how do you know our school counselor?

@arunemo
divya is attending Yale.

Arjun Seth? Nah, heard about him though :P

I don’t have a counselor. I just happened to talk to Mamta ma’am once.

What was Divya’s SAT score like?

One thing I dislike about many women’s schools is how talk about providing better opportunities in the “male dominated” world. I like Wellesley in the aspect that it doesn’t make this a selling point like Smith does. I have an interview with Smith today and while going through the website to check out pointers, I came across a lot of statements about Smith offering better opportunities because it provides undivided attention to women and why that is so important in (this comes up again) the ‘male dominated world’. The whole “Why women’s college” Debate on the women’s college forum is crap too. For all their talk of women empowerment, they sure do seem to build on the (mostly nonexistent) ‘inferiority complex’ a lot. It’s turned me off and I meet the Dean today. :(

Yay!!!
800 , 800 , 780 ( m2 , chem, phy )

who else gave sub sat?

800 Chem,
790 math2.
Oh well. I obviously suck at math. I didn’t even know the conversion from inches to feet.
But they’re tolerable! :)

Congratulations guys!

Do you think I should retake a 760 in math 2?

^There is no need to. An 800 would really make no big difference in your app.

WELL DONE!!!

Kaira, I think your score is great! Maybe a little low for engineering majors, but you aren’t into that… So I’d suggest against retaking it.

I’m a guy :(

ME :D

My SAT2 scores are horrible: 790M2, 770C

^ Dude, not cool. Stop bragging. :P

:'(

I thought I’d get a 800 in M2 man.

WAIT.

SORRY.

TYPO.

750Chem!!!

facepalm

790, 800 - Same difference. Of course, it can hurt your inflated ego, but I don’t think it can have much of an impact on your application.

EDIT: 750. Oh crap. You’re so not getting into anywhere you apply.

Didn’t u guys give physics …

Thanks for the heads up.

I’m going and committing suicide.

Nice knowing you’ll.

Bye.

Oye! Are you guys sending certificates etc. ( the awards and accomplishments ) to colleges ? My parents are telling me to send all of them…

Universities don’t ask for them … should I or should I not send these ?
I am mentioning them on the app na … is there still a need of sending these …
