also he asked me something that i absolutely love and would never leave no matter what. i replied my mother. so he told me i think your brain is so clouded by love for your mother that it is inhibiting your thinking. i was like smell my a ss, uncle philosopher.

Okay I admit that this particular MIT EC was a robot or snob or whatever. Its fine you call him whatever names you want to, nomad.

No MIT bashing please. The couple of MIT alumni I know are * very * nice people. I like the MIT current undergrads I know, even better. ( remember someone with an “e”)

I was not trying to bash MIT people. I felt that there is something about MIT interview process that ends up making people very uncomfortable. I don’t know if that is done intentionally or not. This has been experienced by several friends with more than interviewer in our region. So, I was not surprised by what nomad experienced. That’s all.

Just can’t wait for all this app process to get over … So damn frustrated …
2 more apps

I went a little overboard, but i’m pretty miffed he messed up my interview

College Confidential + CollegeView = You Score

“I’m on the edge of my seat,” writes DougBetsy, a parent and regular CC contributor currently tackling college admissions with kid number two. For folks across the spectrum—high school juniors and seniors gearing up for exams, college students wincing through finals week, and antsy moms and dads motoring toward the home stretch—the winter months can amount to a one wild college sleigh ride. But take heart! We’re throwing our doors wide open and giving you a life- (and money-!) saving leg up on the industry’s hottest topics. What’s better than getting real-time advice from admissions reps, swapping notes with fellow students and parents, and exploring thousands of schools to find your perfect match? Why, combining all of these features in one handy newsletter, of course!

Each month, Punch breaks down the buzz at CollegeConfidential.com, academia’s most popular social network. Then we link you to the powerful resources at CollegeView.com, bringing you the best snapshots of college life the Web has to offer. This month on CC, Indian students talk about everything from parental involvement in applying to popular T.V. shows, while Parents of the Class of 2014 and Beyond are resisting the urge to hover while figuring out housing options for 2011. Regulars like jym626 are bellyin’ up at Sinner’s Alley Happy Hour to bemoan the high price of football tickets, and University of Wisconsin – Madison students talk about waiting on decisions for Fall 2011.

So here it is. You want a step-by-step guide to the application process? You got it. A tutorial on getting the most out of your letters of recommendation? Not a problem. How about x-ray vision? Well… we might need a little more time to make that happen. But for now just kick back, get to clicking, and discover how much better the college experience is when you know the right people.
