I’ll remind you, but I fear you will be too busy preparing to move to Harvard or Princeton and you will forget me.

I’ll remind you, but I fear you will be too busy preparing to move to Harvard or Princeton and you will forget me.

I learned some of that from bubbles during her tirade against that punjabi boy.

I have the same fear.

Has anyone got a UPenn interview?

Hi all!! New here!

Hi Anjali! Welcome to TiT. Feel free to introduce yourself. I am here mainly to be with my friends and waste time.

Hey what is wrong with you guys? I’m very fond of both of you, and no way will I forget you! hands out hugs
And luci, Harvard or Princeton? starts cackling madly finally certain that the poor boy’s lost it. after all, this process could rip anyone’s sanity. I mean, I’m a live example

Seriously, I might conveniently ‘forget’ the video part, but you guys are stuck with me as your friend now and I’ll keep in touch in college too.
I assure you there are loads more. Hindi is a language with unlimited swears.

Welcome to TiT Anjali! Nice to see another girl here! Not that I have anything against boys.

@chromey- I did. Do you also have yours today?

Oye! I didn’t get any interview from Penn… maybe that’s because my region doesn’t have a active Penn secondary school committee (SSC).

I’ll try and ask them if I can have one if I come to Delhi; I wonder if they’ll allow. :(

@Pixie: How much do they give you b/w the notification and the interview?

Hi Tippu and PerfectPixie!

Good to meet you all too :). I’m Anjali :)! Anything else you want to know about me, just ask :)!

Hey i didn’t get an interview request either. Do i have to contact them asking them for one?

Also did anyone else applying to Princeton get a interview yet?

@ Violator: For Pton, I was notified 2 days back that I would be contacted by Mrs/Mr xyz in a week and that I should be prepared for that. I had sent them an e-mail saying that I will be in Delhi (so that I could have a face-to-face interview and not a telephonic one)

Where do you live? If in one of the following places then NO, otherwise yes.
[Penn Admissions: Secondary School Committee Interviews](http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/applying/iregion.php?region=india)

Hi there Anjali! What’s your major? and have you been accepted anywhere so far?

Same here, and IRL as far as possible :)

Pixie, you applied to Penn? I didn’t know that!

I didn’t get any interview request btw.

I like how I only have two interviews to do.

But I’m really depressed because I didn’t apply to stanford (my dream university!) and umm princeton and yale… Should have applied to those man. :|

I didn’t get an interview notification from Penn yet though I live near Kolkata… and my P’ton interview will be over telephone seeing as my interviewer works in DC … :|

anybody here applying for fin aid to Penn?
I am and have a question. I have submitted the CSS PROFILE so do i have to send the International Student Certification of Finances as well? and don’t they need copies of tax forms (because thats not mentioned as a requirement on their sfs website)…?

I got a mail from the UPenn guys saying that the first round of interviews is full and they’d conduct a second round.

^figures… they did get a record number of applicants… a 15% rise in fact…

Phone interviews are kinda … weird. I don’t know, coz that’s just how I think of them.

My Pton interviewer is, well, a super busy person. Add to the fact that does not live in Delhi. So I guess, I’ll have a phone interview too

How much will it hurt my chances if I don’t give the Penn interview?

@compscifan … same here… the interview is meant to put a face to your application… not literally, i know… but i still think that a phone interview defeats the purpose somewhat … I requested a Skype interview if possible but my interviewer says he travels a lot and does not have access to skype while travelling… so i guess i’ll have to settle for a phone interview…

@chromey … no idea mate… admissions websites say that if you aren’t offered an interview in the first place, not having one won’t hurt your chances… turning one down, however, might…

Ideally it should not affect your chances AT ALL.

But considering the fact that you’re applying from a very, very competitive applicant pool (India) and that there’ll be many applicants who MIGHT have the same credentials/apps/scores as yours, a good interview will automatically give you the edge over others.

You mean, Ideally it should NOT affect my chances AT ALL?

Yes, but we don’t fall under the ideal case scenario. It won’t damage YOUR application, but help fellow applicants. So indirectly, you’re chances go down
