@Tizil - Wherever you decide to go you will do well .I fully endorse perfectpixie 's comments
Do your best and the best happens to you!!!

Thanks perfectpixie! I have sent a PM to you!

Congratulations everyone!

I got accepted to MIT, Stanford, Northwestern, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, UCLA, Michigan, CMU, Berkeley and rejected from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Duke, Penn.

I can’t decide between MIT and Stanford. I’m interested in majoring in Comp Science.

MHIAD, if I were in your position, I would choose Stanford without a doubt :p

Stanford ftw, most rounded university ever.

@Tizil:
I read that you’re deciding on Berkeley, what made you choose Berkeley? CMU vs. Berkeley is killing me xP

Tizil, you going to UCB??

@all: Accept a healthy congrats hug from the rest of India, may you blossom wherever you go :D:D

Well, right now, I’m heavily leaning towards Berkeley. This is because:

[ul]
[]Unparalleled Engineering and Economics Programs.
[]Prestige. Public Ivy
[]Proximity to Silicon Valley and Weather.
[]Large School Feel.
[/ul]

I haven’t heard any counter opinions from current Brown students or Alumni. Though I agree that Brown does provide its sense of exclusivity and elitism because of its highly selective admissions, this one thing is not everything. This decision is not final, however. I’m still looking at both sides.

I’m also aggressively contending my Columbia WL :p

Accepted at the University of Southern California…! :D

@Tizil: Congrats for your acceptance to UCB! I would recommend Berkeley if you want to go for engineering.

Officially chosen a university. Check my location ;)

congrats Tizil. It is good to be so decisive.

Thanks texas
Congratulations Wimpy!

I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place ( in the good sense ) seeing as I still have to choose b/w CMU’s SCS and UC Berkeley EECS. Tough choice to make…

And gratz Tizil on choosing UC Berkeley over Brown. We might even meet there!

^ I faced the same choice a year ago. While I can’t help you too much, I will chime in for Berkeley: don’t be intimidated by the size of the student population! I had the same reservations, and I can safely say I actually prefer the size now. Berkeley will teach you how to be proactive and independent. Getting lost in the crowd won’t be a problem. You will find your niche, and at the same time, won’t run out of people to meet.

Congrats to you all. Special kudos to Mr. G and his D. :D

{CalTech, MIT, Columbia, Stanford, Rice, UT, …}?! Wow! That’s mucho impressive-o!

 Berkeley, really hope to see you all there next year :p

Anyone coming to MA? …or is everyone frightened by the weather? :p

Tizil

Congratulations, a well thought out decision. Wishing you the very best, great life in College and even greater beyond.

Hey @TheEcnegilletni, I am going beyond MA to NH Infact this was my first choice.

Intelligence (r), yes, I don’t like cold weather D:

I mean, I could’ve been 4 train stops away from you in Rhode Island, but looks like if we ever have to meet, we’ll need to fly across the the states :p

Thank you Anialways :)

I’m imagining we’ll be spending quite a lot of time here discussing what to do and what not to do before going. :D
