Anytime iamgh2 :)

@EminemFn- wait you do know that you need recommendations from ur counselor and teachers do you? and it wouldn’t matter at all that ur the first applicant to us from ur school…

@TanArch31- nice to know that!! btw which branch you’re looking for? and did u start with any of the college apps?

Architecture. The tough-set to crack. But I’m applying to some colleges for a Math major as a back up option.
Started last week. Essays and transcripts. You? What major are you applying for?

Tough-est*

@tanarch31- Economics and Physics… I finished some bits here and there of the apps…

@iamgh2- there are other fantastic schools where you have a chance for getting decent aid…

@phr34k - I know that we need recommendations, they are not a worry. What I want to know is whether it’s necessary to keep them informed (at this point of time) that I am aspiring for studies abroad, even as I am in Class XI right now?

@eminemfan- not really… its all upto you. the recommendations they are supposed to fill out will be based only on their perception of you as a student and a person… that’s all…

Meh.
CC, while it has it’s advantages also is a storehouse of false information. A quick look through my CC bookmarks/week is enough for me :P

could be that. I, too, live “under rocks in jungles in third-world countries”
Which college are you applying to? which school are you attending currently?

All pretty difficult to get into. You must have great stats. What is your ‘plan B’ if you are rejected everywhere ? (although I do not know NUS and NTU, maybe these are your safeties?)

Applying to top colleges too. I’d rather go to some of the european countries where colleges are almost free if I am not accepted.
my scores and transcript are very good, but haven’t done much as far as ECs are concerned

what do you mean by “goluhaque”?

and i saw on ur chance me post your stats… writing the SAT tomorrow right?
all the best… even i am writing tomorrow as well…

and looking at ur stats i just wanna say one thing- don’t waste ur time in india… the education system(excluding the iit’s and bits i guess) isn’t meant for guys like you… its mainly for people who just learn for the sake of earning and not learning…

How was the SAT guys?

I personally found the CR a bit difficult than usual. What do you think?

Hi,

I’m a hopeful '16er as well. TookSAT IIs today - Math II, Physics and Literature. No idea how they went. :/

Todays SAT sucked !!:-(
Can I retake it in December as deadline for most schools is jan 1st or 2nd ??

Maths II was good.
Chemistry was better.

That’s precisely my question.

Well I screwed up 4 questions in math… CR was definitely somewhat interesting to read and work on… Writing was alright…

@perfect prashant- yes you can… but have you given subject tests??

Oh. Well I found CR good. Hope I’ll get a good score.

Haha…

My invigilator thought that I was using an unapproved calculator. The TI-89 Titanium. I had to show him the test booklet - out of which he was reading - that my calculator was indeed allowed. -___-
