The Indian Thread #20

Wow Fall2016Parent! I am grateful you sent me that. I now have a better idea of how to approach the essay and will hopefully come up with a good piece of work.

Thanks for your words of advice as well, Cobalt :)

Sorry, no idea Karan.

Mitbound, I think I’ll sleep at 10-10:30, no later.

Wow Cobalt, 10 tests in each subject? :eek: I just did 5 tests for Math IIC and 7 for Chem :stuck_out_tongue: But it’s amazing you are giving it so much time. And the website’s name is “xtremepapers”, what else would you expect? Hahaha I know that’s not the best way to judge a website, but still :p

Oops [10char]

Thanks :slight_smile:
Ive been taking them randomly, though, so no 800s yet :stuck_out_tongue:

I need help! The sparknotes test centre for chem isnt opening up! Ive tried SEVEN times, and it keeps saying ERROR (annoying the hell outta me). I gotta give the third one :frowning:
Is this common to everyone? :O

Yes, I am getting an error as well. There might be something wrong with the way its servers handle our requests. But on the LAST DAY? :eek:

In the meantime, you can try these, if you haven’t already: [Chemistry Subject Test - SAT Chemistry Practice Questions & Tests](<a href=“The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board”>The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board)

@Cobalt : I am finding these questions easier than the Barron’s practice papers. I don’t know anything about the real test’s difficulty though. But lemme finish the whole test. I have just done 20 and got 18 right, so it seems ok.

Karan, the curve is pretty harsh, so 18/20’s “goodness” depends on what score you are aiming for ;)

700+ i think 52 above will do it.
And I didn’t say good, I said Ok
Good will be 58 out of 60 :)

Best of luck in any case!
I think I’ll come on CC just once more later in the day. Till then, hope everyone’s studying hard!

@Tizil- I know :confused: Its such bad timing.
@Karan- :open_mouth: Wow! I got like 20 wrong :/

Oh. that was on the 4th test.
The first test does seem a little easier, bt its still tougher than the kaplan tests.

@Tizil- Thanks, but i’ve done these! :)

@cobalt : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/585615-how-ace-literature.html</a>
check out the book comparison, it says that kaplan tests are the most accurate. So you are doing good. And Best of luck for tomorrow

Thanks a lot Karan :slight_smile: Best of luck to you too! If you’re acing Barron’s you are well set :D

Thanks Cobalt,but I am not really acing Barron’s . Just barely touching 700

For barron’s from what i’ve read so far, thats pretty GOOD. :slight_smile: Dont worry!

Thanks cobalt. And I wanted to ask another thing. What does IRB mean? Indian Railways something something :stuck_out_tongue: ??

Haha IRB?

I know what I and R stand for but not idea about B.

Don’t be :eek: when you read this Cobalt :p

If you really want to know how I know that, I can PM you :D

EDIT: Just realized, B could stand for the Blue color of aqueous cobalt ions. Even I was quite enamored by the blue color of Cobalt in NCERT books :open_mouth: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobalt_blue</a></p>

Institutional review board
International rugby board
Even google couldn’t come up with more

HAHAHA! Ive been tensed, but you guys made me laugh so hard :smiley:
They’re my initials! No way i would have the indian railways in my username :stuck_out_tongue:
Tizil- haha thats cute :slight_smile: Ill pm you :P

DONE! Finally done with all the tests in the Blue Book!
I hope to replicate my performance tomorrow :O

How is everyone else doing?
