Aah, oh. I can do that.
Ok, so, how exactly are the sections divided acc to the time?
Also, if its a one day test, why does it show a week duration in the test dates section of the website?

If you go here, you will see the most recent ACT test dates. I don’t know where you saw the one week test dates.
Go here to see the time distribution of each subject in the test.

Rew, I sent you the PM. :)

Rew, regarding your question of comparison among students, as far as I know, colleges do claim not to compare applicants from the same school. However I’d imagine they do set some standards for further applicants from that same school. As for comparison with other schools, I’d imagine that is done only at highly selective places such as MIT and that too, not so much. Nowhere on any college’s website will you see “a well-known high school” as factor that admissions decisions. If your application is good, you’ll get through.

@mrinal: how long had u been preparing for the ACTs for getting a score of 35

Why is there no other way?? Sure, 2350 is a great score, but I think this mentality can hurt you in the long run. If you don’t get a 2350+, your life is NOT ruined. There are many people accepted with scores around 2100. If you get scores around 2200, you should be fine. But, a 2350 is not bad either, just don’t obsess over it. :p

Of course, it will help you. You gain credible experience from the assignment, which shows that you are willing to expand your areas of interest. Just list it in your ECs section and if you think you can write a good essay on it, go for it( CommonApp needs an essay on one of your ECs ).

Well, I studied for about 2 weeks this time. I solved all the practice papers in PR’s “Cracking the ACT” and the “Official Guide to the ACT” . The ACT sub forum here has a great set of advices, you might want to refer to them too.
Shoot if you have any more questions. :)

From solving the sat from 3 months in advance tp 2 weeks
Nice, there’s not much vocabulary is there??

Thank you Mrinal2207. I really want my application to stand out, thus the 2350+ thing. And I am well aware that its not an end of life. Everyone else should also know that its great if you get accepted and its okay if you don’t!

@ppayas I totally understand ya.
Im trying to improve from a 2220 :)
