The Indian Thread #21

^yes, SAT subject test scores may give you some elective credits and waive some breadth requirements.

Guys? Which country is the first one to be done with SATs in internationals?

What time is the SAT exam timing usually guys?

I was reasoning out the country that starts first. Acc to me, UK should be done with it before us, but surprising Korea is already done with their SAT! This make me confused even more.
Like, Korea should have done it After we are done with it right? But India is just halfway through theirs!

Nope, Korea->China->India->UAE->Europe->Americas.

It’s pretty easy to get once you get the hang of timezones.

The SATs would be done by now, how did it go guys??
Hey Acaris, how is it going?? :D

@mrinal if you dont mind me asking how much did you score in your SAT reasoning and SAT II?

^I did not give the SAT I. I have a 35 ACT and 800 in Physics, 790 in Maths II, 750 in Chem. But, colleges only care so much for SAT scores ;). IMO, Once you get over the threshold( 2100+), SAT scores donot matter much.

Those are some pretty amazing scores! Yea, I hope I get my SAT score above that threshold… :]

UC Berkeley has a US History requirement for international students which can be waived by getting 550+ on the USH SAT (among other ways to waive the requirement)

^So Pratyush, Every International needs to take a US history course regardless of the major??

Yeah, unless you somehow satisfy the requirement.

Haha. Not really :stuck_out_tongue: Andd I’m a girl!

Mine went okay, though. Math 2 was pretty simple and so was physics. I slacked off in chem a little bit but I’m not that worried.

ACT next!

Told ya :p. You all have one less thing to worry about then.

 Some SAT IIs still to go then, given that I am accepted at UCB. ;)

idream, me too!!:)

When you taking the ACT?

Or, you could just get 90.5 units till the time you graduate and you’ll be exempt from the American History and Institutions Requirement. So don’t worry about that SAT.

If anything at all, the most irritating requirement is the American Cultures Breadth Requirement which cannot be bypassed using any external exam :|

Here’re all the general requirements: http://catalog.berkeley.edu/undergrad/requirements.html</a>'

Edit: Congratulations on 500+ posts, don’t want to post again :)

I think that “carrot” was for me Tiz ;). Thank You for that info!! That is OK then. :)

@anvesh: In a week, hoping for a perfect score.

Anyways, when’s the last time we can write the SAT? December or January? For EA/ED and RA.

@mrinal - Finished getting me the college list you said? :P

I will get working in that ASAP. I admit that I have not been punctual on that front. :p

I’m in no hurry. =P
