<p>well in IUB also the scholarships and grants are awarded by different committees all together but well once you are here in the university noone cares if you are a scholarship student or otherwise..</p>
<p>as of mechanical well we have the ECE and /or Physics which are quite amazing major that directly almost qualify as mechanical engineering .. you may want to check out the courses at the universitys website for detailed information on the courses ..</p>

<p>last time we had some BIGGG ( more than 6 page long debates with gud enthu ) where each poster got so much into the debate that the pages got filled in like 15 minutes .. </p>

<p>Reservation quotas are at 22.5%(half of which go unfilled). I wouldn't consider that to be at heights.
And you don't need to be from a privileged school in order to take part in that Olympiad. Although you'll need to use your brain.</p>

I am fully aware that you can take part in olympiads in a SCHOOL but my dear,things become VERY complicated when your OUT of School already.....
And as of Quotas,dont teach me my dear,for your correct information,the current reservation is 27.5% or nearly like that,and from the recent LAWS by SC,it cannot be more than 50%(as if 50% is very less),and the current situations are in favour of quote to be extended to 49.5%(atleast in parliament.....and 27% is just for this year,they have already cleared that it will be a total of 50% in recent years to come,that is the reason for great protests and inreas in seats,there are many proposals to make separate premier institutes totally for OBCs n SC/STs).......
I think you need to read newspapers a bit more.........
And as for your objections,I am not against the quote nor in favour in it.......
The favourable thing for me is that there needs to be a drastic change in this.........
there should be absolutely no QUOTE system,RATHER it should be more or less a system like in US......I think its time we(parliament runners) all should learn something from the US.........there the selection criteria is on the basis on PERSONALITY rather than just grades or QUOTES.....there in no such word like QUOTE in the US(atleast in the top unis.......many will say that they hav quotes for international students.....well it has a reason,if it were not that then US citizens wont get ANY college in their country....but the reservation system in INDIA is on th basis of CASTE which is the most irrelevant decision in Indian history.....).....
