well for the info of all the posters and readers.. . TiT# 14 was NOT closed due to large size. o`nor for the 8.2 k posts that were there..

it was closed as due to a request to the moderators to put down the forums by we ppl as u wanted the new 15th version for ur new season that was justified..and thus i forwarded an official request for the closure.. hehehe how gud it FEELS TO BE ACTUALLY ENDING THE TIT#14 With ur official request haahaha..

@sucharita: the mods dont have a problem with 10k posts anymore and we cud have gone to that if wanted but simply coz we wanted a new one this season tht i forwarded that request for closure..

well this version has been seemingly going great.. and would so too.. we ppl among the our batch would visibly be not present for a few more weeks coz of our colleges that have begun..

i am in germany , bremen at IUB now and in the o week.. i would come online at CC very rarely for the next few weeks..

as of otherwise lodas of ppl here nice and gud.. but well for authentic answers ill tell u guys dont take anywords from ppl who arent ur seniors or otherwise arent surely knowing the info .. peer info unless fully trusted can be misleading and often wrong.. so while u discusss stuf and admission related queires here be sure to check and cross check each piece of info u get or post.. and also crosslink references in the text posted..

ronty great to see u here.. hehe i am in bremen only .. wud talk to you soon..waise well i got finally the final pages of TiT#14.. i wanted to pass on the closure in front of u ppl .. but neither u nor shikhar was present.. so i decided to finally do it .. as it is..

also what ronty said was true. .. check the TiT#14 and ul knw simply how much we have debated and fouhgt over petty issues and stuff and expressed openly our views..

CHEERS!!!

SM

hi everyone...so how are you all doing....i am very very busy these days with beginning of classes and selection of clubs so dont surf often (except for mails)....i got into the Mens Glee Club as a tenor though....So is it going good with your admission procedures and all...

Wazzaaaa! After a 3 week hiatus, I'm back...lol (Tho this scrap could have been posted at a time other than in the middle of my Com S LEcture...damn u Wireless technology!!!).
How'r all the TiT #14 regulars finding their colleges?

To those who applied last year: when did you start writing your essays?

Thanks for asking that, I was meaning to ask the same thing. To those who're applying now, what progress? for me, I'm done with first drafts of my EC essay and some of the smaller essays for colleges like Stanford and Princeton that have their own applications. I've also started framing my longer essays in my mind as I sleep. :)

I haven't started mine yet.:)

Well as to when to start writing the essay goes.....I think you should think about topics and keep constant brain storming going on for the whole of september....write whatever that comes to your mind down on a piece of paper...you'll be surprised how many points you'll have at the end of the month......Once thats done if you are applying early start writin the essay for your EA school (most probably that essay will work for a lot of other schools too so right now just focus on the EA school)...once you are done with your essay start the others in november...dont wait till december as you will have a lot to do then....Also an advice is to spend as much time as you can with your essays...even if u are done with them dont just submit the application...wait for atleast the last week (i mean comeon its online) coz u might need last minute tweaks.....so thats all there is from me...hope that helped.

I know that i have i have asked it before, but what's the difference between doing computer science from a LAC or from a university that offers B.S.E. in terms of starting salary. Are you eligible to do M.S. after doing a B.A. from a LAC.

SM: Any idea how common is the EUR 18K scholarship at IUB. Does IUB meets 100% of your demonstrated need.

I am finished with the first draft of my Commonapp essay, i would write the remaining essays after my A levels are finished(i.e. after mid November).

Princeton has its own application?

I thought you could apply through common application.

Well most colleges except UChicago (Which has the uniquely brilliant uncommon application) accept the Common App, but I personally feel that when its with regard to colleges like Princeton and Stanford that have their own Application, those give me at least, a greater amount of freedom to express myself.

RVCE life is cool!
Best of luck to u both, Shikhar and SM, for ur new colleges!

Best of luck t u too Ronty..Have a blast at RVCE......
If u are doing Computer Science (Not COmputer Engineering or EECS but Computer Science...which incidentally is the course that i am doing)...then some colleges offer it under a BA degree which is perfectly normal...and u can easily do an MS...or let me say it has no effect on whether or not u can do an MS...Infact even if u go to Harvard u get a BA in computer Science so i guess that should answer your question.

Regarding applications...even if u choose to send common applications more often than not you will find that the major colleges will always have big supplements so it does not matter whether you send the colleges a common application (if they accept it) or their own application...

Yes! It was a nice movie, and if I remember correctly, the song was chaiiya chaiiya...

wow, #15 !!!, so the legacy does continue! anyways, hope you guys having a good time, and having fun at your respective colleges.
