The Indian Thread (TiT) # 16

Barron's is pretty damn good actually. I will send him an email immediately :) Yep, feels like the boards all over again doesnt it?

@Kumara: My centre is in Bangalore. It depends on which one you chose as your first choice etc in your application. Bangalore was the only Indian centre, and the other option was Singapore for me. I got Bangalore

so how do you get to know if a college gives you credit or not?

And can someone explain the benefits of taking AP's please?

It depends on the individual colleges actually. Some colleges waive certain courses that were otherwise a requisite for your major in some cases, if you have done these AP's. So you get credits for those classes automatically I think. I am not very sure of this though.

Yes, it depends on the college. Some will just allow you to skip a course while some will just grant credit.

Yay, we're all doing APs!

/randomness

@Narsil: Almost everyone I know used the Barron's books + Sparknotes ;)

I'm giving IB exams :D

oh, I see... thanks!

BTW, Is the Physics C (both) counted as 1 exam ($84) or 2 exams ($168)?

Since 2006, College Board has been charging separately for the Mechanics part and the Electricity and Magnetism part.

Where IS everybody

I'm here! :)

Physics C is two exams, you can choose to take either or both.

I am extremely bored. Tetris, wanna take me up on 20 questions now? :D

I just called GTech, and they told me my decision was made on March 5th. But I had called them on March 5th, and that was the day, they had asked me to get my evaluation done again for 10-12 grade. They recd. the evaluation on 7th March, then how did they take the decision on 5th March? Could it be a mistake that the admission counselor said it was taken on 5th March....or what other possibilities are there? I am really confused with this process..

I have Barrons for CSAB, Kaplan for Physics C and Calc, but the latter two are really boring compared to the JEE stuff, so I've hardly read them.

Can we stop talking about APs? PLEASE!

Why, what's wrong with APs?

Ajay missed the deadline to register for AP's.

And its ruddy getting boring.

ok, thanks Abhinav!

Ah well. Whatever. :D
