I still want to know.

I possess insatiable curiousity. (And I totally spelled that wrong).

I possess bottomless curiosity too

Well if you all possess insatiable/bottomless curiosity then even if I tell you you’ll still be curious about something.
And I totally missed my 500th post. :(

Well, at least you’ll quench our curiosity by a minuscule margin :p

Not really. Anything divided by infinity is zero after all. (Gosh All this talk about math is so geeky)

well, I will sit for SAT I IN oCT AND SAT II in Nov. I truly regret sitting for tests at the last moment but earlier I had my exams so couldnot do anything better than this…

^ same here. The exams overlapped with the may date and good thing that I didn’t register for the June one otherwise that date would had overlapped with the re-test.

Anything? <_< infinity/infinity is NOT zero. And I’ll kill anyone who says its equal to 1!
And guess what? I FAILED in MATHS at school(53/100 highest-78) Didn’t go to school today, but came to know through a friend. And maths is the only subject I know about yet. I wonder how badly I’ll fail chem. If my KVPY camp interferes with my 2nd comparatives in October, I’m done for What the heck am I going to tell my parents/teachers now!!! And ironically, I got 2nd/3rd highest among 160-180 JEE aspirants in my coaching center in the last test. And before it I got the highest in chem! Wish the admission morons could see a glimpse of all the sweat I’ve poured into my real school. Lol, life’s unfair.
OMG! I failed! I ACTUALLY FAILED for the first time in my life This is SOOOO COOL!!! I’m going nuts :D

Don’t worry it’ll be just fine. Just calm down first. :)

BTW “kill anyone who says 1” lol okay then how about infinity/infinity=0/0…will that do? :D

infinity divided by infinity = infinity…

haha How do you know that? :D

NOOBS Its UNDEFINED or INDETERMINATE!!! In a sense CC is more correct than gurung, but still, you cannot equate indeterminates :P

Actually it’s possible. See the proof at the bottom.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indeterminate_form

it makes absolute sense, c’mmon. both are infinite objects. I would have agreed if a finite object upon another one gives a finite again. But since both are infinite, the answer is nothing but infinite. i asked this to my sir as well. He said this …hence I shared it.

Could you please give me your teacher’s contact info? I was going yo recommend his name for the Nobel Prize in Mathematics but then realized there is no Nobel prize for maths.
Come on you must’ve studied about it in grade 11 maths.

Infinty/Infinity = undefined.

53/100 is NOT a fail! 35 is the pass mark for ISC :p

In my school it is 60 And PLEASE don’t speak as though I am in a position to fail ISC as well :O

Oh my god, you’re the last person who’d flunk ISC.

And WOW. That’s a pretty high pass mark.

And marking is such that you get 0 on a question for any lil mistake…step marking is very scarcely done :(
