The Indian Thread (TiT) # 17

Actually I haven’t had any time to think about that.
I’ve been so busy having fun :D

But now that you ask
Kind of.
I mean I’m still sure I’m gonna hand in a couple of tranfer apps
but as for now, it’s all good.

Oh yes. The campus is GORGEOUS
I fell in love with that :)

@Quasi: I’ll probably hang around until I actually reach campus. But I don’t think I’ll stay on CC after freshman year begins.

Who all are doing EA/ED? And where all?

I’m ED-ing to Brown.

I say that way too often, don’t I? :p

Yes actually ;)

I’m destroyed!!!
Looks like the maths thing was a rumour. I just passed(60) but failed in chem(38/70). Thing is, I had planned I’ll do my sep-oct exams well and send THOSE scores. But tragically my KVPY training prog falls right in the middle!!! I can’t imagine sending my 71% marks in these exams along with a rank of around 2-5/45 or something. 2-5 coz one subject marks are not out yet.
I HAVE to give my exams in Oct and I can’t leave KVPY either!!
cries

2-5 out of 45 is pretty dandy…top 10%…

I’m ED-ing Amherst. :)

Yeah, yeah, everyone knows that, whatever.

Wait, gary. Don’t you have to send all your scores? And yeah, 2-5 is great. Don’t worry about it.

For both ED and RD, I’ll send my marks up till September. Then for the mid-year report, I’ll send my marks from October-December.

Oh! I just heard that we might have a re-exam for 2nd comparative failures in late Oct or something. I’ll probably get myself enrolled for those. But then I won’t be ranked :frowning: And honestly speaking, you guys think that even rank 5/~50 would be ok considering my college list and aid scenario? I can’t apply ED without my first comparative marks I assume.
I sooo can’t imagine missing out on KVPY!!! Plus I’ve got a feeling the camp will spawn my most epic essay :stuck_out_tongue: (And the best time of my life)

I’d say yes. Top 10% is pretty respectable.

Yeah, I mean, I’m daring to apply with the same aid requirements as you have and I was top 10% (without even an exact rank since my school doesn’t rank till plus 2, but I’m pretty sure I was in the bottom edge of the that percent) in 10.

Damn, that 2-5 har narrowed down to 5. Now will 5/45 or so still be called 10%? :(

gary, how is 38/70 fail?Or you mean to say you weren’t satisfied with your score?:)

^ Actually the pass marks in his school are ridiculously high. For e.g. 60/100 is the pass mark for Maths.

5/45 is just beyond the top 10% but good enough, still.

Just butter up your counselor and make it 2/45. Top 5%.

Actually, I just came to know that we won’t be getting our ranks this time around. Except for the top 10 from all 22 branches of CMS. So, I might be pretty much free to put whatever I like :P

^ haha. Good for you.

P.S.The next person who posts will have the 2500th post.
