OK, only gary reminds me of my classmates six years ago!

hey all
ssup…?
@tetris: ur location reminds of a book named “The Amulet Of Samarkand” and a movie named “Wrong Turn”
;)

I loved The Amulet of Samarkand!

Pop Apocalypse is a book that I just read :)

YESSSSSSSSSS!!! Amulet of Samarkand rocked. I’m still to read the remaining 2.

I’ve read the trilogy, tetris, and the last one ****ed me off. I mean, it was GREAT, but ugghhh at the way things ended. Poor Nathaniel. Wasn’t Bartimaeus AWESOME though??!

I agree. I hated how Ptolemy’s Gate turned out.

Kitty is great though isn’t she?

Pretty darn great

Do you think a good Toefl(110+ in ibt) score can cover up an average CR or W score(650)?

Well the TOEFL’s pretty ****ty from what I’ve heard, so I don’t know how colleges will interpret that.

Maybe for an international student it would? I dunno. 650 is a pretty respectable score anyhow.

Oh golly.

By jove.

There was no point to the above two sentences. I just felt like using those expressions and sounding all British :D

By jove- reminds me of Bernard Shaw…

Irish. Good enough :D

huh? 10char

Hello everybody
I am from IIT Bombay and want to get admission to MIT but problem is I have already completed first 2 years of my degree and by the time I’ll join MIT, I would have completed 3 years. They don’t allow freshman students who have attended more than 1 year of college. And also for transfer, they don’t allow students who ‘would be within three terms of earning their bachelor’s degree’. Can anybody please help me in this regard? And is there any other way that I become eligible for application?

Bernard Shaw is Irish

@deepengarg- Why are you so desperate to go to MIT NOW??? Just wait till your B.Tech is over, get some great recs from top IIT professors and go to MIT for M.Tech/M.Sc. IIT-M isn’t that bad after all…
@tetris- I’m not that stupid… I was asking what you meant by good enough.

@gary7- I don’t want to do post-graduate degree from there. Actually I don’t wanna do pg degree from anywhere. its just that I, kinda, feel motivated by the system they have over there which have some resemblances to my needs.
I am really not saying that IIT-B is bad.
Please anyone, is there any way?

I don’t think there’s any way you can apply, unless I’m missing something. Also, what eactly are you planning to do at MIT? What are your general stats?
