<p>I got in last year too, just didn’t get mechanical or ECE. So I took a drop. It’s a matter of which stream I get.
Anyway, I can’t be sure of getting CS at IIT (top 250 only) so I’m headed to Colgate :)</p>

<p>I put a slash- Probability of getting CS @ IIT is low, but it’s still existent :)</p>
<p>I’ll stick with Colgate otherwise, because two of my classmates (from last year because I took a gap year), one in IIT guwahati, and one in IIT delhi, both in chemical engg, have said it’s nearly impossible to later transfer to the ECE or CSE stream and you might as well get stuck with the stream you got for the rest of your study period. </p>
<p>Sorry, but I can’t deal with chem or civil (OK, my dad did civil from IIT D but it’s not my fav :P) or anything else.</p>

My chem section of the JEE paper was clinic-all clear mostly hehehe</p>
<p>If I was manic enough to write the JEE and get in, I’d give IIT up for an LAC in a heartbeat :p</p>
