<p>I’m born in China but moved to Singapore when I was five 
I’ve been accepted as well but really not sure if I’m going. Parents aren’t exactly OK with the idea of LACs.</p>

<p>@lynxinsider the reputation mainly, because he directly links it to my job prospects. He wants me to go to a very famous school regardless of how good it is. Which is so WTH ._. The truth is that we don’t have enough resources for me to go NYU, and even though I got accepted I don’t really feel like going. I feel like I need a small liberal arts environment.</p>
<p>My father is VERY biased against LACs. Found two articles today, one by the Ministry of Education in Singapore and another by Kishore Mahbubani talking about the benefits and features of a liberal arts education, but he’s not buying anything. Very frustrated.</p>

<p>Thanks so much for the info! Not sure if I’m attending Rhodes though - haven’t connected much with it. I’m leaning towards Smith now but I’ll need them to increase my fin aid before its feasible.</p>
