All right, so I've got my Columbia interview set up already, and I just have some nitpicky questions.

I've been to a couple different sites with tips for college interviews, but I'm seeing a few discrepancies between what people are telling me and what I'm reading. I'm a little confused about how I should dress.

I was told by my guidance counselor that casual dress is okay, but does that still mean no jeans?

Oh gosh. I'm nervous.

By the way, is it okay if Columbia hasn't received Part II of my application yet? Right now, I'm sure my interviewer only has my basic information.

I think jeans are too casual, but when people tell you be casual about your attire, they mean, don't show up in a three-piece suit. To my interviews, I wore a dress shirt and khakis or slacks. A tie is too much, jeans are too little. That was my take on it anyway, but there's always the kid who'll show up wearing a suit anyway. Good luck.

I think I'll go with a skirt, then. I haven't got much in my wardrobe in terms of in-betweens.

Where is your interview? Dress for the location. If you're meeting at your interviewer's office, dress up more than if you're meeting at a Starbucks.

It's another high school about an hour away.
