The J.D. Power Challenge, The Power of Participation

There is a real J.D. Power and he was an HC grad. J.D. Power is a name I am sure you have heard before. It is synonymous with quality and customer satisfaction. "Dave" grew up in Worcester. His father, brother, and daughter are all graduates of Holy Cross. Holy Cross is important to them. Power values his Holy Cross education and wants to demonstrate his satisfaction with it by giving back generously (which he has already done). And now he wants to encourage other alumni to do the same. To this end, Power has proposed a participation challenge: If alumni give at a rate of at least 55 percent this year, he will give Holy Cross $500,000 to establish paid internships for Holy Cross students to get business experience in Worcester-area organizations. We're going to call this year's effort: The J.D. Power Challenge, The Power of Participation.
