Does anyone know when they notify the finalists?

Late January, if I remember correctly

has anyone been notified yet?? will applicants who are not chosen be notified?

they finally posted info and registration for finalists on their website, so it should be any day now...
and the site says "students will be notified in late January as to their status in the Johnson Competition." so status = both good and bad, i guess.

They told me over the phone that you would know one way or the other by the end of the month.

anyone hear decisions yet? The full schedule for the competition is on the website now with all the details of travel, etc. I would imagine that they send the letter regular mail since it involves 200 finalists.

the end of the month is in 5 days, which makes me nervous... i hate waiting!!!

My sons went to the mailbox about a hundred times today <lol></lol>

Can someone provide a link to those details on the website? I'm not finding it. Thanks.

Go to the main Washington and Lee page at Washington and Lee University :: Washington and Lee University and then click on admissions and financial aid on the menu bar running across the page. It has a section on the right side of that admissions page called Admissions Insider with a link to applicants for johnson scholarship. Then on the left menu on the page it sends you to, there is a link for finalists for the Johnson scholarships.

I have never posted before- my son got his letter today inviting him to th ecompetition- we ar so excited for him!

If I am rejected for the scholarship consideration, will I be able to get any notification?

I found many accepted kids get notifications, but what about the rejected?

congrats to those who received letters! I was wondering the same thing about notification either way.

My daughter received a letter today informing her she would not be considered, so yes, you apparently will be notified either way.

you can also contact the admissions office. my brother is a sophomore there, and he checked for me. turns out i'm not a finalist.
