I've seen about 1000 different people ask the 'what are the mid-50% SAT's' type questions at info sessions or tours. How does this happen? Do people really visit schools despite not putting in even 30 seconds worth of research to find some of the most overpublicized and available numbers out there?

I would think if you were going to spend the time and effort to visit, you might want to at least know something about a school.

^ true, but it's so much easier to ask here. the fact is, people who ask questions on CC are lazy; and they have a reason to be. why go on a 2 minute google search, and waste mouse clicking finger strength, when you can simply ask on CC, let other people do the work for you, and expect a response back in about 5 minutes. so easy.

Yeah, I hate when people do that too. At one school, I was answering questions on the tour. However, I think some people know the answer but they want to hear it come from the admissions rep so it becomes more...idk real i guess. My mother does this.

They may have been relying on Fiske's or Princeton Review books instead of googling. It's a bit of a shock to discover a school that was a match is now a big reach.
