Sup brahs i'm an entering sophmore at a CCC with 39 units completed, i want to do TAP for UCLA but i havent started the program yet... Is it too late for me to do TAP?

also, i have like 20 units of AP credit, does that factor into my 60 units needed for transfer?

thanks guise

don’t know about the 20 units of ap, or tap, but you don’t need tap to get into ucla. depending on the major, if its not competitive, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to get in with a decent gpa and having the general ed requirements plus your majors lower divions stuff.

thanks man my major is psychology which is impacted. so far i have a 4.0, but that may change to 3.8 by the end of next year.

moar help plz!

it depends on how heavy a courseload you are willing to take. most honors courses will fulfill IGETC as well which helps. I know at my ccc you can’t take more than 6 units of honors courses in your last semester prior to transfer. it also depends on how many courses you have to take. it differs from ccc to ccc. At mine I had to take 18 units. Look into it and talk to whoever is in charge of the honors program.

Thanks man i’ll look into it

at my school it was to be completed the spring prior to transfer. I completed 2 tap courses just before I transferred.

i agree with jpnguyen.

they let you finish tap up till the end of spring.
you just write on your tap application that you still have some courses in progroess.

but other than that yeah, you still have fall and spring. (which is what i did) but yeah all you need is a 3.25 gpa or somethign and then you need to complete 15 honors units.

you should be fine though. good luck.

20 counts towards 60 . TAP is to be done by end of spring prior to transfer - just like all other requirements have to be done by end of spring prior to transfer.
