The leisure of 4 school days

How is it having only 4 days of classes during the week? (if your schedule entails it)
What do you do on your day or days off?

bump…

You have some free time, but you still have to study a few hours a day at a minimum…

Ideally, you should study the same amount of time regardless of whether you spend 4 or 5 days out of your week in class.

I had Fridays off last year. I had a lab meeting at noon and would either goof off the rest of the day if my schedule the next week was light. If I had a ton of homework or an exam the next week I would start working/studying, but take it a lot more relaxed than I would take it on a Sunday. I basically used Fridays to decompress and only do work if I needed to.

For my freshman year I had class every day M through F. However, this upcoming semester I got just M through TH.

Usually I use my off days to catch up or get ahead or I relax and enjoy myself.

Freshman year, I only had a one-hour recitation on Friday mornings. Since I didn’t have as much work then, it truly felt like I had a long weekend every weekend. I didn’t have a class-free Friday schedule again until this past semester (sophomore year), but I ended up devoting my Friday mornings and early afternoons to labwork instead, so it wasn’t all that leisurely. I also had a ton more homework, so I used most Fridays to catch up/get ahead. The only luxury that a “free” Friday provided was mental satisfaction in knowing that I had a little more time to get work done.

Given such a schedule, I actually prefer to study on Friday nights and then have fun Saturday nights. That way, I can be (sort of) guilt-free on Saturday.

i had only 3 days of class last fall, monday - wednesday, even with a full courseload

used the long weekend to do tons of job interviewing…

This semester i am going to have M, Th, and Fri class, wednesdays off, and 1 hour of class on tuesday mornings. saaaa WEEEEEEEET!!!

This semester i have class only on MWF :)

My bf for 2 years in a row only had class on Tu/W/Th.

He did absolutely nothing during his extended weekends…
