The Lesser of 2 Evils

Which scores should I send to score-choice schools,

2 sat subject test scores in the low 600s

or a 26/27 ACT?

Or does it really not matter. Both aren't so hot.

bump.
Please =/?

well it depends on the requirement of the schools. do they ask for two subject tests? i don’t know if submitting them will actually hurt your chance though

for schools that require SAT with SAT IIs OR the ACT, but allow score choice.

Edit: So this means I have taken the SAT, but I am wondering if I should submit it with the poor SAT IIs or just submit the ACT with my SAT.

how do your SAT and ACT scores compare?

oh i just got what you were saying there. are you sure you didn’t misinterpret it? cuz most of time, by saying that what the school really means is either submitting SAT with SAT 2 (since SAT doesn’t have a science section) OR ACT only.

in other words, your SAT score cannot be used without submission of SAT 2 scores.

The answer to both questions is essentially the same. My SAT is actually higher than my ACT, if I did equally on both, I would have gotten a 29-30. I find the ACT to be harder. And so yes, the schools don’t require the ACT with anything, but I will submit the SAT too because it’s better.

or I can take the good SAT score and submit it with relatively poor SAT IIs.

It’s all about meeting the requirement in the best way.

So either the ACT, with the SAT to show that my testing is not actually too bad or
SAT with the SAT IIs, it is what it is.

Are you sure about the ignoring of SAT scores without SAT IIs?

i don’t know how a certain college is going to deal with it if you submit SAT w/o SAT IIs. that’s just how i could make out of the admission policy that’s stated.

you should contact the admissions office just for the sake of clarification
