Did anybody else get a letter from Stanford letting you know that Stanford is really dissapointed in you second semester senior year grades?

Should I reply to that letter explaining myself?

Make sure it's not a hoax from one of your friends.

If it does not affect your admission...you may not want to respond. Although..it's a weird kind of letter to send if it doesn't affect your admission (which makes me think it would be a hoax.)

If it affects your admission....or you need to maintain a certain average...or meeting regularly with an adviser or some other "conditions" placed on your freshman year....and you have a valid response other than senioritis... you could respond.

I'm pretty sure it's not a bad prank from one of my friends. The letter didn't say anything about revoking my admissions or any other changes. It did say that it looked forwards to welcoming me this fall.

I guess I'll just leave it alone and not respond. But did anybody else get that letter? Are you going to respond?

I don't think you need to reply. I've heard from some of my friends that they got letters after getting accepted telling them that they were doing sub par but as long as they don't revoke anything don't sweat it. Just make sure you change your ways come september :)

uh yeah definitely. i don't plan to slack off at stanford. i just had really bad senioritis.

If you don't mind me asking, how bad was this senioritis?

During my senior year after I got accepted to all my colleges, I just lost a lot of my motivation. I tried to keep focused, but I missed some assignments, procrastinated a lot, and skipped several classes.

So in the end I got a C grade in my calculus II class. I pulled in A's in the rest of my classes though.
