<p>Hope that thread title caught the attention of all the "know-it-alls" of professional football. Yes, changing the subject and completely off the wall...but, who better to ask....right?</p>
<p>Does anyone know why all the pro football quarterbacks have a lime green dot on the back center of their helmets?</p>
<p>My husband and I disagree on our opinion as to the reason for it. Anyone really know why?</p>

<p>NFL allows 1 player on the field to have sideline radio communications with the coaching staff. The green dot displays which player is "Radioed" and allowed to receive plays from the sidelines. Later... Mike....</p>
<p>Wow! Thanks so much. Can't believe my husband had not figured this out yet - the huge football fan he is. He was at that remarkable AFA/TCU game, too. Lucky guy. Again, no one flame me for being AFA. We all have our favorites, right? And, we can all be optimistic and have hope! </p>
<p>YAHOO! I get a 50% win. I suggested there was an antenna embedded in the green dot. Hubby laughed at me.</p>
<p>My husband was suggesting the dot referred to the "big dog" and something about refs viewing from behind.......and all other comments are censored! </p>

<p>No problem. First of all; Definitely GO AIR FORCE. 2nd; the antenna isn't embedded in the green dot. The green dot just says he has a radio/antenna in the helmet. Anyway, you were mostly right and definitely more so than your husband. You definitely win the prize. Also, hopefully Air Force can extend their 3-0 lead. AIM HIGH!!!! Later... Mike....</p>

<p>Christcorp - yep! I knew the antenna isn't or wasn't embedded but it was my best guess. My husband is one of those engineers who thinks much harder than he should sometimes, then, at other times considers the "why for" at the complete opposite end of reasonable. LOL I can't even remember the reasoning now but it was so analytical it gave me a headache thinking about it. Then, he comes out with something along the lines of children who stick stickers anywhere they can find an empty spot....you get my drift! Thanks so much for your help. Probably should have just googled myself.</p>
