The Longest Wait of My Life!!!

I finally submitted my application...what a big relieve...best of luck for those that are doing it on the last day...hope the system doesn't crash on you guy...GOOD LUCK!!!

I started working on my application early October. When October 30th roled around, I said to myself, "I have a month left to work on this." When a whole two days passed, I couldn't wait any longer and I submitted it. I just re-read my application a little while ago and decided I'm satisfied. But still, I feel a little silly that I couldn't just wait in case I thought of something better to put.

Now we have six months...

Damn. Six months....................... I am too impatient to wait all that time.

Are any of you applying outside the UC system if so, where? I will be applying to Ohio State, Texas, and Pittsburgh. Anyone know good schools on the east coast with good poli sci programs?

I'm applying to USC, but I'm considering rolling the dice for Columbia University. For whatever reason, a really high number of people from my CC transfer there. I sometimes think about Stanford, but then I decide I have about a 10-20% chance and decide to save $75. Generally, I'm only interested in California. If I apply outside California, it'll have to be a school better than Berkeley and it'll have to be private (because I'd lose resident preference at a public).

USC & UMICH...my SAT scores are too stinky for others

Communist Smurf, how are your SAT scores?

Omg, I hit send and the receipt came up at either 12:00 or 12:01. The date said 12/01/04 instead of 11/30/04! The website said that all apps have to be in by 11:59pm. They'll still accept it, right?!

I think you are okay bluevartouhi because your application was received by 11:59, just the receipt was not created until 12:00. Besides, you should have received an error, if you submitted your application after the deadline.

Have you heard of anyone getting an error message like that?

Yea. But, I am not sure if it starts exactly at 12:00.

Try to email the Pathways help desk to verify that they will accept your application.

GOOD LUCK!

I didn't take the SAT. I do realize that if I applied to those other schools I would need to, but I think I ultimately won't bother because I'm already happy with where I've applied.

That's cool. I was just asking because you said you were considering Columbia.

how long after submiting my application will i get a notice from the UCs that i applied to?

You're supposed to get something in the mail approximately three weeks after applying. Also, you can log in to... I don't remember the address. Just go to Pathways, click on "After you apply" or something like that, then go from there. It'll tell you things like what you might have fill-out wrong and how to fix it.
