So, it is almost March 15th. Did anyone else get a chess set from baruch college? I don't know why I would get one.

According to the CUNY Portal, I have been admitted to City College (which I applied to). Macaulay decisions are still pending. I haven't received anything in the mail about it yet.

Does anyone know if we can check our decisions online for Macaulay on the 15th?

spacecamper, I have also been admitted to city college. According to the Macaulay website, they will be mailing out letters on the 15th, so expect to hear from them on the 16th/17th.

Good luck to us all.

how come cc never posts on macaulay....

I received the chess set from baruch too. It was so shiny and silver-ish. It even looked like an electronic dictionary or a ds at first. But it was chess set...still good.

Thats a jip, hunter didnt send me anything. Ah well at keast I'll be able to get a dorm room should I get in. Good luck guys. Any other macaulay hunter applicants?

A chess set? LOL.

Baruch must be short on applicants this year-I think they're struggling to fill their undergraduate class.

"how come cc never posts on macaulay.... "

It's not important.

Hmm, do any of you have the admissions statistics for the Macaulay Honors Program?

Specifically, 25th/75th SAT Ranges, selectivity, percent of students who rank at the top of their class, etc.

nah i don't think baruch would be struggling to fill in

The average sat score was 1390 and the average gpa was a 93.7 or something. Pretty tough compared to most schools Imo.

YES. I got in!!! Hunter Macaulay

how thick was the envelope? What was inside the envelope?

Congrats amoney3!! I got my letter today as well (Hunter). The envelope is kinda thick, with a Macaulay folder inside, full of info about the program (also invite to reception at the Met in April.) The envelope says "Congratulations!" on the bottom. Good luck to everyone!!

Thanks, miktau.

Took me a while, but I found the information on my own eventually.
Admitted students had an average score of 1396 and an average GPA of 93.X.
Not sure about the means of enrolled students, but I have a good idea of the rigor of their admissions process.

Congratulations to everyone.

yea i got hunter today. not much suspense... congrats written all over it. well it was a safety... mit rejection same day. arghghh

@ stressedout
there was to be suspense. all the letters, whether rejections or acceptances, come with "congratulations" on the front. So, there was no guarantee.

ohh. well thats kinda mean. xp

Those average stats are probably a bit far from this year's. Due to the economic crisis, I know a lot of students (many who are ivy-level students) have opted to apply to macaulay as their safety/financial safety. My friend did ED to Baruch Macaulay Honors and he didn't get in. His gpa is like a 91 out of 100 at very competitive hs and his EC's include internship at prestigious financial firm. Only ended up being accepted to regular baruch.

**** no letter yet. I hope this means Im not rejected. Are you guys in the city? Im up here in westchester so I hope the mail is just slow. Did acceptances arrive via usps?

Thanks guys.
