is it probably bad form if I work a paragraph at the end of my essay in about how all that stuff that i just wrote about applies to me wanting to go to that particular university? will that be out of place, and looked down upon?

well im not really sure.. in fact i have the same very doubt..
on one hand we can end up looking very desperate..
on the other the adcom office might like that and take it as how badly we want to get into that particular university..

i want to bump this so someone will answer

Well in my essay from last year I casually hinted about college and how that's the place for me [generally speaking however, never listed any specif one]. But I think the best thing is to be rather discrete though still acknowledge to the adcoms about this.

so no one has an opinion on if its a bad idea to talk about the specific school in the main essay?

If it flows with the rest of the essay, and relates to the points you're making, and is not something that is kind of "thrown in" or "tacked on" then it shouldn't be a problem. But it does have to flow and make sense in the context of the essay.

Just be careful if you're cutting & pasting parts of the essays not send College B the essay that says why you want to go to College A!
