The merit(s) of AP Comparative Govt?

Next year I will be a senior and am able to take AP Comp Govt. It is an easy (as far as APs go) course at my school and I feel like I can handle the class, but I worry that it will be a waste of time for me. I have to take Gov & Econ next year too so I feel like it may be a boring class of redundant information.
What are your opinions? Will this help me in college admissions?
*I do like history type courses and have done well in them in the past (Honors World (A/A), AP Euro (B/B), APUSH (B/?)).

What do you want to major in? If you want to major in Economics, Business, POlitical Science, International relations, etc, it’ll be a very useful class. It’ll also provide background if you plan on taking more advanced foreign language classes, comparative literature classes (in English), etc.
What would you take if you don’t take that class?

Take classes for interest, not just for college admissions… I took it and it was my favorite class.

@MYOS1634 I would just have one less class- my schedule is already full…

In that case, you feel that you need to take it unless you pkan to major in poli-sci, and even then… you’ll have freshman and sophomore years to take it :)

I took the class and got a 5 on the test and got no credit for it, so it was pretty useless, but it did give a background on countries I don’t plan to study about at all.

The test is extremely easy.
