<p>OhioPublic, I agree that Miami should re-think their timing. Their whole mentality is brain-dead. They knew on FRIDAY and were willing to commit to the mailman our admission status, yet they won’t tell us until Midnight on a school night.</p>
<p>One friend had to deal with a hysterical daughter who didn’t get in (cried all night… had tests today). It’s just plain rude on Miami’s part.</p>
<p>My son got in. But you’re right - too much stress and waiting, considering he’s had scholarship offers for months from other schools.</p>
<p>and… $4K per year more for Miami than OSU - they may want to re-think that as well. On the other hand, at OSU you are taught by students (my niece was an OSU T.A… I was shocked that she was teaching students two years younger than her). I think you get what you pay for.</p>
<p>And OSU has their push to regional campuses now. 1/3rd of the incoming freshman class has to (gets to?) start at the regional campuses, before transferring to Columbus. That’s not for us. We’re proudly saying no thanks to OSU.</p>
