For us, the interview at Middlesex was very dull. While our D was writing her on-the-spot essay after her interview, my husband and I were slogging through an uninspiring conversation about the school with the head of admissions. Our D formed a similar opinion and we quickly ruled it out as we drove away. In our case, it was just as well, because we were trying to narrow her list and had to use impressions like that to come up with true favorites. We loved the campus and had heard good things from an alum, so a more engaging experience could have kept it on the list.

benevolent, only Middlesex, because it’s the only school i like

pom_mom, I’m surprised by your impression of the school.

^^^^But how, when interviews aren’t even required?

Why are we arguing about which school is better. Like a previous analogy I made, Jane Doe may be just as good of an actor as Meryl Streep but not represented.

Go where you like, if you want the “traditional best” look around CC. Those schools are accepted by the general population as most prestigious… Go where you like clearly some of us like Sps, some of us andover and other Middlesex.

This has really swayed discussion wise from the MX thread

One of my relatives went MX, and she was never satisfied with the relationships with advisors.

thats too bad
