Kind of last minute, but tomorrow 11/12, 8 a.m. this show will air on the military channel so set your DVR if interested. Also - I got a DVD set called surviving West Point - it's pretty good.

Lucky, upload those as a torrent and share them.

where would he upload those files to, here? Please do though I am interested.

A while back National Geographic produced the "Surviving West Point" series. My officer lent them to me a couple of weeks ago and I really recommend them. They focus on the lives of different cadets who are in the various stages of West Point. They give some valuable insight if you can get your hands on a copy.

My son asked for the DVD set and has watched it all. I was surprised at some of the things on it and the difficulty of daily life. He, on the other hand, thought it looked like what he wants to do. It really seems to be pretty good for depicting some of what West Point is like. Maybe someone who attends West Point and has seen the video can comment.

where can i get that?

For $34.95 you can get it off of the National Geographic On-line store: http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/shopping/search/searchresultsmain.jsp?fresh=1&searchType=advanced&iMainCat=0&iSubCat=0&attribute14=0&attribute15=0&attribute16=0&RS=1&keyword=surviving+west+point

Netflix also has "Surviving West Point".

Word of caution: NG builds West Point up to be a lot harder than it actually seemed to be for me. They fail to mention a lot about Beast and the school year, specifically how much hazing you encounter is totally up to who your cadre wind up being and later how good your Team Leader is. It's also now quite outdated-we no longer have the two weeks of military training as soon as we get back from Christmas leave, among other things.

Still, its a good buy. Just know that not everyone who goes to West Point is a prepster, football star, daughter of a Latin American general, son of a grad, first in their class, 1st Sergeant, etc. They really sucked at getting the typical West Point cadet in there, but then again its hard to really get "a typical" cadet because what's typical is in the eye of the beholder. I just felt that they could have shown more of what life is like for a non Corps squad, non Prepster cadet.

Also, that was filmed right around the time of 9/11. Things are a lot different now. Nothing focuses your mind on your purpose here like hearing the name of a recent grad killed in Iraq before you sit down to breakfast. Makes you forget all the crap, all the WPRs and duties you have to do that day and makes you remember why you came here in the first place.

It's stuff like that that's impossible to capture in a documentry. I guess you just have to live it.
