The MIT females

oh my. MUST...JOIN...CHEERLEADING...SQUAD...

AH!

ohhh man, girls reciting digits of pi!
that makes me SO horny!

oh my god man me too

(jk jk)

Bwahahaha.

I'm glad someone other than me has a geek fetish...

I love technology, but I don't really think I'm a geek. I don't salivate at the thought of doing hours of calculus and I do shower daily. I guess I'll be single if I end up at MIT. :)

Well, showering helps... I'm not into THAT kind of geek. Heh.

THIS JUST IN:

I did in fact meet a hot MIT girl.

There is hope!

I suggest all of yo who are admtted go to CPW and hit up some frat parties. Then you'll learn MIT is the party hub of Cambridge, and all that stereotype crap (which really ****es me off) is false. Sure, there are hardcore nerds here (very few), but there are those at any school. There are hardcore partiers and cool people, and there are more than you might think.

So,

If you want to go to MIT grad, go to MIT undergrad.

Go to a party/stay over a weekend and find out for yourself about the girls. I'd recommend a frat party.

i visited when ur school year open, and i must say i saw some weird looking people. the star wars shirts were out and i saw a dude with like a green ponytail. how do you explain THAT? (and my tour guide was the only chick that was even halfway decent looking). even my indian parents were like, ok we understand we wont force you to go here.

did i just go on a bad day? actually the chicks that were in my tour group at harvard were simply AMAZING that day. wowowowow.

You know what they say ... "what counts is on the inside" ... :)

id like to pretend to be the stereotypical shallow guy and say that as long as theyre hot who cares, but you're right. whats on the inside is most important. but speaking of personalities, wouldnt MIT's lack of "fuzzies" give it a lack of diverse personalities compared to other schools? (such as stanford)

Ahhh haha this is a great thread, mostly because it's so hilarious.

So let me share a few thoughts with you.

1) I applied early action to MIT, and I happen to be an attractive female who loves physics and hates stereotypes.

2) I go to an engineering high school called High Tech High. In my senior class there are 2 guys to every 1 girl. My freshman year when we figured this out, my family teased me, saying that I'd be "in demand" because of the ratio. Over the years it's become a joke between the sexes. The guys complain that there are only half as many girls and that none of them are pretty, and the girls just look at them and laugh, saying, "High Tech girls. Sure we're outnumbered, but do we WANT to be?"

I mean really, who wants a boyfriend who never goes on dates because he's too busy playing videogames? (A common predicament in which females from my school often find ourselves.)

Stereotypes can go both ways my friends, but I don't buy into them, so hopefully I'll be getting a large envelope from MIT in the mail and will be seeing some of you there.

-Laura

The way I see it, if you're a social, well-liked geek and go to a school like MIT, it's easy to become a big man on campus, meaning that finding smart/attractive girls wouldn't be that hard. If you don't have social skills- develop them, it just takes time and resilience. I mean, you can have the opportunity to hit on attractive girls that don't think they're attractive just because they've never gotten attention because they're too "out there." The same is true for girls.
