The smallish heels and non-locked foot are my concerns. Hence the continued shoe-hunt. (Hubby has not complained about the 4 pair I brought home today. Think he is relieved to not be along for the ride like he was for the dress-hunt. One pair not wedding candidate, but hey I had $30 Kohls credit.)
Interestingly though this particular pair is quite compatible to my narrow foot and gives better support than some of the heel strap shoes I’ve tried. I was so impressed by them that last month I ordered what seemed exact same K&K style in white, but I had to return them… too “gappy”.
Actually, the strap set higher up makes these types of sandals or mules comfortable and stable. Feet don’t slip out of these types. I’d be more concerned about the pretty heel getting dirty from the soil and grass.
Fun link! We skipped the coronation festivities, but I liked seeing all the formal dresses. It was nice also to see the traditional gowns - Bhutan, Malaysia etc.
Thanks for the royal fashion links, I watched zip of the ceremony but liked looking at the women wear and have to say nearly all of it I really like. Good example of dressing up, not “over” dressing and some beautiful color and styles.
Thanks for posting the that link. Many of the of outfits were absolutely lovely. I too especially liked the traditional dress of so many countries. But the shoes - OMG - my feet hurt just looking at some those stilettos!!!
This showed up on my Facebook feed just now, probably because I was looking at coronation dresses! https://www.nordstrom.com/s/loretta-midi-sheath-dress/7364929
But, I also wore a very light blue mist sheath dress for son’s wedding last year so maybe Facebook remembers I like sheath dresses!
Looking at the pics posted by @sevmom, seems there were a lot of ladies at the Coronation wearing practically the same pair of beige high heeled shoes.
I noticed it too. I’ve had it in mind to someday get some beige heels. Maybe I should try to find some soon, while block heels are available. (Most of my dresses/skirts are fairly casual.)
From MoneyScoop (a daily email I get, recommended by a relative - breezy stuff)
$50,000
That’s how much it cost to join the star-studded guest list for the Met Gala this year—well, that, and Anna Wintour’s seal of approval. Even though designers and donors have grown accustomed to paying five figures for the biggest night in fashion, this year’s price tag was up 67% from last year’s $30,000 ticket. Inflation, amirite?
Clearly you didn’t have a job at Thom McAn shoe store in high school like I did For myself, picking shoes is all about comfort. But I do have fun looking at shoes. Of course some of those MET dresses were so over the top I may have missed the shoes. But I did notice them at coronation photos.
