It is a lovely dress and has very positive reviews. The price is reasonable for a nice long dress with good fabric that fits well.

I think it’s going to have to be online shopping for me. Our Saks carries no evening gowns anymore, and Nordstrom is limited. Macy’s actually has quite a bit, but nothing I love. I’ll be in Chicago in November, so might find more selection there. I have over a year, but I’m already dreading this buying, sending back, etc.
I have a great seamstress that said she can actually make one for me using photos of styles, can alter things . She’d go with me to Chicago to pick out fabric. So, that’s an option.

Can I wear, as a guest, a maxi dress to an evening wedding? I love this dress, it fits me perfectly and DH says it makes me look thinner than I am (um, thanks?!). The waist is straight when on, doesn’t slant down on the sides or back like on the body form. Form is a small, I’m a medium

I would like a midi or maxi dress for some reason. I usually wear short dresses but want to mix things up.
I’m am aware that I’m overthinking this. Feeling insecure about this wedding so want to wear an outfit I feel really good in.

I love the 3rd one, but you are not comfortable in it. I think the 2nd one might be too overwhelming with all the ruffles. I like the 1st one in the print. That’s gorgeous. You know, I really dislike dress shopping now as a mature woman. So much easier fir the young. Are you willing to give your size?

I love 1 and 2. 3 is just harder for me to see on more body types. I vote for the one that makes YOU more comfortable and you feel great in. I think any of them are very appropriate.
Is this also an outside wedding? I think one and two lend a little more fun and very pretty but less formal for an outside wedding.

Just ordered the second dress after seeing Andi McDowell’s dress. Of course she’s 6’ tall I think and I’m 5’1”. I like the colors but am also wondering about the ruffles.
I’m 5’1” and weight about 125 pounds. All of the dresses I ordered in a PS. I’m wondering if I ordered the 3rd dress in a PM if it would fit better. It’s pretty body conscious. I also spent the past week with my skinny beautiful daughter who looked great in all the body conscious wedding dresses she tried on.
I still like the first dress a lot. My daughter was the one who thought it wasn’t right to wear as a wedding guest.
It’s inside, end of September. In Michigan, who know what the weather will be.
It was 41 degrees this morning, by Sunday the high is supposed to be in the 90’s
I found someone, a seamstress much recommended in neighborhood FB groups, to hem my MOB dress, which is too long now that I lost so much weight from my various illnesses. She is on vacation for August. Wedding in November. I will call her on Tuesday.

Honestly, I really like both options.
I saw the original dress in the store and aI thought of you/thought it would look great. I don’t think those colors are a problem for a wedding, and When I asked MOG earlier this year I was told black with print was fine. I wore one and noticed others.
I love the colors of the “new dress” too.
If you want to listen to your D, go with new one, but either will be more than fine.
