Would you consider navy sandals just to see? I think that would look very “neat”.
I’m confused. You won’t wear “sleeveless” but off-shoulder and strapless are okay?
And honestly, that second dress looks very “competitive”.
The styles you like do seem to be somewhat form fitting in the tummy area with big sweeps of skirt.
You could start by filtering for flutter sleeve.
My reaction to @conmama 's post was similar to @VaBluebird and @Marilyn because you mention not wanting sleeveless and then showed a bunch of strapless or sleeveless type dresses and you didn’t want form fitting in the tummy area but many dresses you like looked quite form fitting.
I think @Marilyn posted alternatives to that type of styling that addresses both your concerns (even if you don’t like these specific dresses).

How pretty!
I believe conmama was just showing us her style (and love of bling )
I also don’t feel comfortable going sleeveless (but I love an off the shoulder look) and it was very frustrating to deal with the lack of dresses with sleeves regardless of whether the wedding was set to take place in Minnesota in January. A dress designer could make a killing with a line of MOB/MOG dresses with 3/4 & long sleeves! Even MOB/MOG’s with slim arms can be self-conscious about age-related sagging & creping.
I love those, conmama! They are definitely statement dresses!
Maybe I’m in the minority but I hate a flutter sleeve.
Conmama- would something like this work? (off shoulder, just a little less formal with the tea-length…?)
Yes, it will be formal. However, the venue it’s in for the reception is formal and beautiful , but the wedding is not in a church. It’s in another very nice beautiful room of the buliding , but not stained glass and an organ. So maybe I need to tone it down a bit.
I was just showing the types of dresses that are me…I won’t wear strapless. My seamstress is amazing.
Thank you! Exactly….I was asked to post things I liked or am considering. Just showing my taste preferences. I do appreciate those people linking other options. Some I’ve seen, some I haven’t.
I can’t wear a crew neck, doesn’t look good on me. I do love flutter sleeves, but not necessary on formal wear. This is going to be a bit of a challenge.
Bride wants long, but that’s very pretty.
@conmama you will find “the one” and it will be smashing!
That dress in navy is smashing IMO.
others…
Love the gold Teri Jon dress.
Here is another way to have sleeves with an off the shoulder look.
Love browsing the realreal
Are you going to have it made then? Or your seamstress could alter?
