the morning of?

what do you do/eat the morning of the test?

knowing me, i won't get much sleep because of insane nerves. i will end up exhausted, and unable to do the CR section, just like on the PSAT. i practically fell asleep during it.

do you think coffee/redbull helps concentration on the test?

I had two rockstars b4 sat, was focus throughout the test, but the rest of my weekend was ruined.

For me, coffee is a must, redbull is too much. The thing that sucks is that I have exams Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so as soon as I'm done with the SAT I have to come home and study for exams.

This will be my fourth round of tests that "matter" (SAT first time, ACT first time, SATIIs first time, this is 2nd try at SAT). What works best for me is to get EVERYTHING ready the night before and have it all laid out. Don't forget to bring a good, healthy snack - it helps more than you'd think. A banana or Clif Bar is perfect. I also bring coffee and water, though I don't think I've ever actually used the water. I'll probably just take coffee this time. I get up at 6:15, get ready until around 6:45 or 7:00, then run a few practice problems (nothing you haven't already done correctly) in writing, CR and math.

Don't worry about not sleeping. I've taken SOOO many exams with only marginal amounts of sleep the night before because of nerves. But don't study, either - it's best to just lay in bed and relax, even if you can't actually sleep. Watch TV or read if you want, but don't practice. It will just make you more nervous and tired. You'll be fine even if you don't sleep. Coffee is your friend.

I have a little bit of coffee and will do some practice problems to warm up.

the night before, i stayed up till my usual bedtime (11:30-12ish) and the only drink i had was redbull+fruit juice around 11, which isn't going to make me go crazy or barf like coffee (ick!). i made sure to have directions to the test center and all the needed paperwork ready for the next morning. (i forgot pencils though...don't worry people will usually have extra.) do remember to pack yourself a snack, it's not required (i forgot) but it's nice to be able to chew on something during breaks. i recommend a golden delicious apple...the light green-yellow ones? SOOO good. i eat those on all my AP breaks too. fruit is THE best. no junk food...it makes you feel like you're being smarter if you eat fruit :)

anyway, the key thing is to CHILL. prepare the necessary items for the test beforehand, get some sleep, don't drink coffee/red bull if you don't usually do such things. just as a note: i like using Adderall (ADD meds), those pills always make me feel happy and good. try and get them if you have friends with ADD.

LMFAO ADD MEDS you could get in BIG trouble for using those not even kidding

well not like anyone can tell from looking at you whether you've taken one or not. in any case, don't do/take anything right before an SAT that you've not had prior experience with.
