The most competitive college programs in the US

Hi,

I just saw a thread about Northwestern's HPME (Honors Program in Medical Education) program, which i had never heard about previously even though it looks like one of the most competitive programs in the nations.
Other than this program, I also know of UPenn's Huntsman program for international studies and business that is also extremely competitive.

So, does anybody on this forum know of any other hyper-competitive programs out there?

Brown PLME (Program in Liberal Medical Education)

Music at Julliard

^ Okay, if we go in that direction, would you add Deep Springs and the service academies?

Architecture at the Cooper Union has a 4% acceptance rate.

I thought that was the point of this thread? To go in that direction?

^ thought the OP might have been refering to specific programs within a university, rather than hyperselective institutions as a whole.

Haha yeah that’s what I thought too

Musical theater at NYU, Michigan, CMU

Music at Oberlin, Rice

BME at JHU

Curtis Institute of Music

The most competitive program I have heard discussed is the School of Cinematic Arts at the Univ. of Southern California. I was told the admissions rate is less than 4%.

FSU Film (The Film School)
