I'd have to say the hardest for me is a tie between Physics C: E&M and Chemistry.

E&M is a rather difficult test, but the curve makes up for it. Also, I just found out today after receiving my scores how much the percentiles are skewed. About 25% of test-takers get 5 on Physics C E&M. It all balances out.

Music Theory sucks if you're not good at parts of it...like hearing it, and singing it <.<

Physics C: E&M.

"I was lucky enough to have an awesome honors chem teacher so when I go take AP next year it'll be cake.

I've looked at some ap questions... and I bet I could pass now. That's how awesome my honors chem guy was.

Sure..."

What? Sure? You know those free AP CHEM questions provided by collegeboard (and FR's) online in the booklet? Well I did those and at that rate I'd pass the test. So I don't know what you're trying to say...

U guys have to be kidding me. My teacher gave us the AP exam to do (This year's), and it was the EASIEST thing in the world. (I was in chem Honors this year, so it definitely says a lot about u guys.)

I would say Physics and all the foreign languages are the hardest.

AP SPANISH LANGUAGE DEFINITELY (when i got a 4 though, i almost jumped off my balcony LOL )

Or maybe it says a lot about our teachers, no? My teacher hardly taught anything. He basically read the textbook word for word, which didn't help at all. Chemistry isn't an easy class to teach, so many kids have to learn chemistry by themselves, which is no easy task. It's a complicated subject.

So saying Chemistry is one of the harder exams doesn't always say something about us, thank you very much.

wow it's funny how so many of you say Calc BC and/or Chemistry are the hardest b/c those were my only 5's. I got 4's on Physics B (though i took this as a freshman), Eng Lang (I'm Asian), and Computer Science A (I'm going to file a lawsuit against the college board).

APAH!
(10 char)

physics C. my gosh.

AP Chem was the hardest. I heard AP Calculus BC was hardest class at my school at least but the test was easy. A lot of people told me APUSH was the hardest test wise but i didn't think so.

You're teacher couldn't have given you this year's AP test unless you all signed up for to take the AP exam (in which case your teacher didn't administer it). You might have taken a previous year's exam though.

AP foreign language is insane. I was one of the best students in my Spanish V class, and I had taken the language for about 6 years. My teacher gave me feedback on practice questions, and we wrote journals each week. A lot of in-class prep... I receive a 2! I'm definitely considering having them regrade the multiple choice section of the exam.

Surprised Eng Lang doesn't get a vote with its sub-10% 5 rate.

I think it's really impossible to come up with a definitive answer for this. It really depends on the teacher. I thought that Chemistry was incredibly easy, but I had the same (great) teacher for honors and AP. French was the most difficult for me because I had a really bad teacher.

You could guess what the most difficult exam is based on the percentage who get a 5... but I remember that last year the percentage for AP Envi Sci was about 9%, while the percentage for AP Chem was about 15%. This would seem to suggest that Envi Sci is harder than Chem... which I think we can all agree is (for the majority of people) incorrect.

So, there really is no way to agree on a "hardest exam." In spite of this fact, I'll still list my exams from easiest to hardest:
Envi Sci ---> Chem ---> Bio ---> U.S. History ---> French ---> Calc BC

For me anyways..

Easiest to hardest

Japanese (haha, i hate it cuz even if ur the only student taking it you can't just have the proctor proceed if ur done like.. 45 minutes early haha, but im a native so eh)

calc ab (haha..)

chem (no haha, but not that hard)

ush (essay writing was actually sorta stressful, especially when people just get up and walk around during the test... stupid proctor -_-)

spanish (only 4, and the only test i studied extensively for =/)

"Surprised Eng Lang doesn't get a vote with its sub-10% 5 rate."

But you only need 80% to get a 5 in terms of raw score. And that's not really incredibly difficult.

I hear E and M is killer, I got a 5 on mechanics though (2 weeks self study mechanics/calc topics). There must have been some insane curve on that; I was just happy when it was over.

Physics B was pretty difficult, very broad range of topics.

E&M is 50%=5 in terms of cutoff (approximate).

I got 5s on both C exams, but I was worried about E&M actually. It is a killer. Mechanics is much easier to self-study, I would imagine.
