It's interesting what has happened with the spawn of myspace and lj. newsworthy stories of teens and young adults often catch our attention and then we ask the question - do they have a myspace or lj or xanga? and what do they look like?

though oftentimes, these pages get taken off after the incident (but often not until someone manages to save a copy of one of them).

Anyways I sometimes think of this - what if I get into a newsworthy situation for some reason? (like, what if I was a victim of a shooting?) That would be so scary for me. Luckily I put all of my blogs + facebook on private (though my wordpress isn't).

That is something to think about. I recently put my Xanga back on unprivate, but private-ed almost all my earlier posts (basically, like starting again with the same screenname.) I would'nt want it quoted all over the interwebz like Azia Kim, though.

Yeah - people managed to find Google's caches of Azia Kim's Xanga and spread it over the Internet. People also did that for the Myspaces of the Virginia Tech victims.

It gets particularly nasty on a forum that CC censors. :p

InquilineKea, out with the name! (You can use spaces ;) )

Oh that one? I just found it before opening this thread. Looks shady.

The guy liked to eat small children !!!! ahhhh Now I will have nightmares >_<

The killing happened in the community where I live...it's so scary!! There have been tons of fundraisers and candle-light vigils for the family of Kelsey Smith.
