hey guys. i was wondering, what is the natinals coiety o f high school scholars. is it an award that is actually prestigiuoos or is it just another national honor roll thing. just wondering .

Judging by your extreme and pathetic lack of punctuation and spelling abilities, any "honor roll" of which you are a part must be similar to the "Special Education" honor rolls for the mentally and physically challanged. I am proud to say that I have not been offered membership in your "Natinal coity o f high school scholars." Have fun at LACC, or any similar campus.

Lots of love,

you are an incredibly horrible person

In short (without being an arrogant ****) it is a scam so just throw it away.

Actually, I don't think its a scam. ( Not that its very hard to get into) But-there are a bunch of famous people whos names are associated with it, so I dont think they would do that if it was a scam. There are scholarships associated with it, and there is no book or certificate price to pay except for a one time $40 membership fee, which can be waived due to financial circumstances.

The Gutentag from Duke is on the Who's Who Board, with others

I guess I should rephrase myself. You are not getting scammed per se. However, you are paying $40 dollars for an award that is absolutely worthless. The fraud occurs when the organization tells you that the award is actually much more prestigious than it really is (you are among top scholars...).

So no, it not technically a scam.

However, it's a HUGE waste of money. I mean seriously $40 to be "honored" - there are plenty of free scholarships and honor societies that are more prestigious. So don't waste your time and money.

fuzzypenguins, are you serious? that is one of the worst posts I have ever read on college confidentional.

Community colleges are not bad at all. No, I will not be attending one but I am sick of seeing people on this site putting them down.

Just b/c someone has a physical/mental handicap DOES NOT make them stupid. I know someone who does and they are by no means dumb.

Just thought I'd get that out.

And sorry.. I have no clue about the award . .lol.

it's not prestigious or anything. don't waste your money.

In all confidentiolaity (sic), I am generally not a very mean person. As it turns out, my sister went to LACC for a few years and I know a few blind folks who are really very nice people, and surely not lacking in intelligence.

Furthermore, this account is not even mine -- it belongs to my girlfriend, and that is why I would be so incredibly rude; no one will know it was me. ; )

I apologize for the offense I must have caused to all you caring folks out there, but I have been dealing with poor grammar and spelling for long enough that it annoys me in the extreme. Besides, arrogant scumbags like me have to show off how conceited we are every now and then.

Anyway, I have nothing helpful to say about the validity of the presumed scam.

this is a scam. i'm pretty sure. for one thing they happen to know about you but how did they get your information?

not from school! not from a teacher. and not from you. plus, no awards are suppose to ask you for any fee to get the award.
