<p>I've seen tons of people with similar stats to you (good SAT score, high class rank) but often rejected from the top Ivies for no apparent reason. Reason: they don't stand out from the rest of the pack.</p>
<p>Your ECs could show more depth of talent. Maybe you could emphasize your guitar skills. It is important on this kind of playing field that you establish a clear portrayal of your individuality.</p>
<p>I would say UChicago might even be high reach, its a rather competitive university that can easily compete with top ivies despite the fact that less people know about it :/.</p>
