is it unanimous that the book is good or bad to help with the ACT? i don’t want to spend the money and realize that it wasn’t worth it … but I’m considering buying the book today …

i’ve had a bad experience with PR review tests but is this one good?

well i did the first two sections cause i was lazy and didn’t want to do all 4… but :
- English (real 31) 27 (partly because probably mom’s interrupting cause she’s on the phone for half of the time). but it’s a little bit harder than the real test.
- Math (real 34) 34 math is my strong point… but i seem to have a little less time on this test for some odd reason… harder???
So overall i think it’s just slightly harder… caught a few typos… but other wise it’s pretty good.

awesome. i got the book so hopefully it’ll be able to help me achieve the score i’d like.

also, does anybody reccomend the McGraw-Hill’s 10 ACT Practice tests?

I heard the McGraw book was too easy=P.

yeah. i prepared with mcgraw hills and got like… 32 on the practice tests and ended up getting 26 on the real test.

thank you for the input. if there is more, please, post here! :D

Took a couple of math tests and I have to say they have a lot of long word problems that take a while to read. A lot more long word problems than actual ACTs I’ve taken. But the material seemed pretty right on.

My daughter has the PR 2009 ACT book-just did an English test and said that there were mistakes. Has anyone else found this with Princeton? She has already taken the tests in the red book.

mmm … in the 1296 it is better, but i agree, the PR 2009 book has some errors on the english portion. they underline the wrong thing taht wants to be corrected and what not. so, it is a bit off, but i think it might be decent prep. but the 1296 overall is better.

Just found an error earlier when taking a math test. In the question it says that some angle in the diagram is 43 degrees but in the diagram it is labeled 45 degrees.

Book seems pretty solid but look out for typos.

maybe we should make a list of all the typos so we can go through and correct them BEFORE we take the tests, yeah?

i suggest this selfishly because im highly considering getting the 1296 book :)

Look on the second math test in the 20s. It will be one with a triangle and some trig. You’ll see the typo I am talking about.

This book is really annoying, I make more careless mistakes on this one than than I do on the real test.

Glad I’m not the only one. Kaplan is annoying as hell too.

Sooo many bad questions… but other questions r really good… idk…

Okay, I really hate this book.

For some reason I CONSTANTLY do bad on this one, but I did much better on the red book and on the real test.

is the 1296 question book HARDER than the red book? because for some reason, i got a 30 on the red book for english, but a 20 on the english … 10 point difference? quite a bit if you ask me.

Haha idk.

I don’t know if I got worse on the ACT or if I should blame this book.

lol. maybe PR is taking a Barron’s approach, ultra prep but make you feel crappy about your score. lmao. we’ll see. i’m gonna use the book since i bought it. so hopefully i can finish all the english/reading before the April 4th test … crams crams crams

Been making 29s in math on these tests but making 34s and 32s on real act tests…I need to get to science and reading before april 4.
