My S loved his audition at the NYC unifieds for this school.
I don't know much about it. Any thoughts?</p>
<p>No one knows much about it because it is a brand new program. The only thing you can really compare it against I suppose is it’s MFA program which has been around since 2005.</p>

<p>Though it seems like kind of a dumb move to link you right to their website, it was only updated to elaborate upon the BFA very recently, and those pages are what best helped me understand the program.</p>
<p>From my interview, I gather that they aim to accept 36 of us, for 2 classes of 18 to stick together in core theatre requirements. I think (THINK) they said that would be 30 actors, 6 directors/playwrights/designers/technicians. They said it might be a little less, this year. We’d all be earning the same degree in different concentrations.</p>
<p>I personally got the acceptance call this morning, but the program deadline isn’t until April 1 (again, I THINK), so I’m sure more admissions are rolling.</p>

<p>Thank you! I was accepted for Directing. I’m not sure about financial aid, sorry! I assume that info will be in the physical acceptance packet, which (on the call) they said they’d be mailing out shortly.</p>

My D did not go thru with sending in all the information or auditioning since we felt it wasn’t for her but Best of Luck!</p>

<p>My son got a phone call about an hour ago accepting him into the program. He is stunned and thrilled…he did a walk in at Unifieds in NYC.</p>

<p>YAY photomom! Will he go visit? sounds cool. For whatever reason, my S didn’t like New School at all after visiting. I have no concrete idea why. Their program sounds terrific to me. Keep us posted!</p>
