The new "warnings"

I hope this doesn’t fall under discussing moderation. I have no issue with warnings being given, however, I think the new bright red “X has been warned for this post” is unnecessary and I don’t believe public shaming is necessary on CC. Sometimes, people go a little overboard. Most of us have done it at one time or another and a private warning and an edited post is usually enough of a swat on the nose. I don’t think the additional bright red “this person screwed up” is needed.

Just my two cents.

Previously, you would see “this post has been edited by a moderator” or words to that effect, and that was enough, I thought.

Sigh, I know. There is such a long list of items to be addressed that I’m afraid this one is way down there.

I really do feel for you mods, ML. I sincerely doubt you guys like it either. I don’t think you guys want to shame anyone.
