Hello there, I'm seeking a bit of advice. :)

I am a rising Junior in BME at a top tier undergrad with a GPA of 3.4 (major GPA is around 3.2; I had an awful semester freshman year...). I am currently looking to go to grad school, and I'm wondering what I should be doing in the next year in order to boost my chances of getting into a really great program. (Duke happens to be my dream school, just to give you an idea of what I'm aiming for.)

I have research experience in a field completely unrelated to BME and a great relationship with the PI involved with the lab. However, it's not a lab at my school.
I am also working in tissues engineering, and it's grown on me quite a bit. I believe I would like to pursue my graduate discipline focusing on tissues engineering. If you guys know of any great tissues programs, I'd love to hear them.

I am a grader in an engineering course, and I'm hoping to TA for another one in fall.

Pushing to publish something would probably help, but I don't see that happening in the near future.

Lastly, I know that I need a great score in the GREs. While I am not an exceptional test taker, I can probably get an average Q score for engineering, which I hear is around 780, correct me if I'm wrong. Verbal is another story, and I'll probably be ecstatic with anything above 680.

Thanks for any advice you guys can offer!
