“The Diana”
I think it’s a great image to associate with Barnard – Diana is always so dynamic in sculpture. She’s one of my favorite goddesses (no offense to dear Athena).

So, what’re students actually going to call it? “The D?”

Umm, since the largest donation was made by the Vagelos family, some students have been already calling it the “Vag”. Kind of in interesting/unfortunate coincidence, that name, don’t you think? Or hilarious, depending upon your POV.

Yeah, I’m glad they didn’t go with that as the official name. Besides, the Alumnae Center is already the Vagelos Center, and you can’t have two places with the same name, right?

Definitely a funny coincidence. I wonder what her maiden name is?
