The NFL Thread

Let's talk about one of the most popular leagues in America.

What's your thoughts on the upcoming season?

Btw, I"m a die hard Eagles Fan/

I’m a Chiefs fan, but their offensive line and run defense are terrible, so I don’t see any changes out west, even though the Chargers are not as good as the national media thinks they are.

I don’t see anyone that has gotten remarkably better. If I had to pick, I guess I’d have to go with Baltimore for the super bowl since they now have a star receiver for Flacco.

Redskins fan here… i’m cautiously optimistic for this year, we looked good in our first preseason game, but then again under Spurrier we won every preseason game one year and were absolutely terrible that year. At worst I say the Skins win 7, at best maybe 9 or 10.

Tim Tebow.

^^… smh.I hate the skins. With a passion.

^^^ It’s not football, but my Leafs totally dominated preseason last year and then started the season 1-11. It’s annoying when that happens.

idk if McNabb will be enough to make the Redskins contenders.

Ravens. All. The. Way.

And Redskins are gonna suck this year, no matter what happens in preseason.

A Rams fan here, but we’ll do awful again this year. Three or more wins will be a blessing, but hopefully Sam Bradford develops well.

doesn’t it suck to be a fan of a team you can remember being good before you could really appreciate it?

saaiinnntss baby [i’m from nola]

“Suck it Philly!” Nah, I’m not that kind of Giants fan. Actually, I’m not very into football. I just usually watch with my parents when the Giants play.

Go Gators…and Broncos :)

And to be honest, I find the college game to be much more entertaining than the pros. Maybe it’s the millions of dollars they play for or the complete lack of the players’ loyalty to their teams, but I just can’t be excited about it like I can with NCAA football.

Giantsssssss all ze way. Eagles are garbage.

ncaa football > nfl. The atmosphere is so much more fun.

Who beat you twice last year? exactly.

Giants. I hate the Eagles, Jets, Cowboys, and Redskins. We’ll either be really good or really bad this year; we didn’t make many changes from last year, but we did toughen the secondary and we’re starting under the radar. The Eagles will be good. The Cowboys and Redskins will probably be competing with us for #2 in the division.

The Jets fans are getting uppity though. I hope they continue their reign of failure.

CelaPlus, I know what you mean. Will never forget the night the Rams began to suck, when we played the Panthers in the second round of the playoffs back when Martz was coach. We were at the mall, and everyone was gathered up in a sports shop with a TV. We missed a field goal just short late in the game, and then Carolina got a touchdown to beat us in OT. Since then, it’s been all downhill.

The day the Rams won the SB was the day my mom got out of the Hospital, and she’s a St. Louis native.

I agree that NCAA Football > NFL but I love both. Go Pats + UConn (at least UConn for one last year) but I’m a sad panda that TB12 is hurt again :frowning: .

Hope you Michigan fans are ready for UConn to come into the Big House and shock you (notice I didn’t say upset) on September 4th.

^^^ lol I’ve been there. The Leafs haven’t been the same since the lockout, and the Chiefs haven’t been good since they played that terrible playoff game they should have won against the Colts
